GRAND CANYON, AZ (3TV/CBS 5) — The National Park Service (NPS) has located a Surprise man who was reported missing at the Grand Canyon  on Sunday.

NPS says around 4:30 a.m. on Monday, the Grand Canyon Regional Communications Center received a report of two hikers missing on the Hermit Trail within the Grand Canyon. Hours later, one of the hikers was found and reached the trailhead.

The other hiker, 48-year-old Arturo Hernandez was reported missing and was last seen just east of Hermit Creek Camp on the Tonto Trail on August 22 around 11 a.m. The next day, NPS says rangers searched the Hermit Trail and were unable to locate him.
