This 2.1 km trail located near Electoral Area D in the Peace River Regional District is great for beginners but suitable for hikers of all skill levels. Its primarily used for hiking and rock climbing, but if you’re lucky you might even find a few fossils.
Ghost Mountain Loop
Measured at 8.7 km this trail loop is located near Chetwynd. It’s rated as a moderate hike and boasts a stunning view on top of the summit.
Cecil Lake Highway Trail Loop
This trail is a 9.5 km loop and is located near Fort St. John. It is best suited for hikers with a moderate amount of experience and you can bring your pup with you to explore!
Located just outside of Taylor, this trail experiences moderate amounts of traffic. It’s suitable for hikers of all skill levels, is accessible all year round, and you can bring your kids with you.
Flatbed Creek Dinosaur Track Trail
This 3.1km loop trail is located outside of Tumbler Ridge. It’s rated as a moderate level hike and is dog-friendly but you must keep your pet on a leash at all times. There are well-preserved dinosaur tracks along this trail. Please do not attempt to cross Flatbed Creek when water levels are high and exercise caution after heavy rainfall as creek levels can rise quickly.
